Welcome to FYC Online - Award Consulting & Frequently Asked Questions
What is FYC Online?
FYC Online (For Your Consideration) is a digital platform designed to help artists, musicians, producers, engineers, composers, record labels, and culinary professionals present their work professionally during awards consideration campaigns.
We create a centralized, professional webpage where voters, industry professionals, media, and other interested parties can easily access your biography, music, videos, lyrics, credits, press coverage, photographs, and other relevant information.
FYC Online is a digital product and self-service platform. Our role is to provide the technology, page design, hosting, and production services necessary to create your FYC presentation.
Is FYC Online a Grammy consulting or artist management service?
No.
FYC Online provides digital marketing and presentation services. We do not serve as your personal manager, publicist, booking agent, attorney, record label representative, or ongoing Grammy campaign consultant.
We can help you present your existing materials professionally, but you are responsible for determining your eligibility, submission strategy, category selection, campaign decisions, and compliance with the rules of the organization to which you are submitting.
If you require personalized consulting or campaign management, those services may be available separately through appropriate professionals.
Do I need to schedule a meeting before purchasing an FYC page?
No.
Our process is designed to be completed online without a preliminary consultation or meeting.
Simply review the available page options, gather your materials, complete the Start Your FYC Page form, and submit your information.
If your materials meet the requirements listed on the intake page, we can proceed with building your page.
How does the FYC process work?
The process is straightforward:
Select the FYC page option that best fits your needs.
Review the required materials checklist.
Gather your approved text, images, credits, videos, and other digital assets.
Submit your materials through the online intake form.
We build your page.
Your unique FYC URL is created and published.
You receive access to your completed digital presentation.
Our process is intended to minimize back-and-forth communication by requiring all necessary materials up front.
What materials do I need to provide?
For a standard music FYC page, you should prepare:
A short biography of up to two short paragraphs.
Up to seven images, including promotional photographs and behind-the-scenes images.
Up to four quotes, testimonials, or press headlines.
A spellchecked and approved PDF or DOCX containing lyrics, where applicable.
A PDF or DOCX containing project credits.
A YouTube or Vimeo link for your video.
A high-resolution JPG or PNG of your album cover.
Please do not send materials individually by email unless specifically requested.
The preferred method is to place all materials in one digital folder and submit the link through the intake form.
Can you write my biography, lyrics, credits, or press materials?
The FYC page is intended to present materials supplied by the artist or project representative.
You are responsible for providing final, approved, spellchecked content.
FYC Online is not a writing, editing, fact-checking, or biography development service included with the standard page product.
Please review all text carefully before submission.
Can I send my materials one at a time by email?
Please don’t.
To keep the process efficient and prevent delays, all required materials should be submitted together through the Start Your FYC Page intake form.
Sending materials individually by email creates unnecessary administrative work and increases the possibility of missing files or conflicting revisions.
What file-sharing services do you accept?
We currently accept:
WeTransfer links
Unrestricted Google Drive links
If using Google Drive, please make sure the folder permissions allow access.
In emergency situations, Dropbox may be used as an alternative.
Please do not send master video files through cloud storage. Videos should already be hosted on YouTube or Vimeo so they can be embedded into your FYC page.
Do I need to provide a YouTube or Vimeo video?
Yes, if you want a video embedded on your page.
Videos must already be hosted on YouTube or Vimeo.
Please provide the direct link to the video.
We do not upload or host master video files supplied by clients.
What is the difference between the Standard and Custom FYC pages?
The Standard FYC page follows a predefined layout designed for efficient production and presentation.
The Custom FYC page offers additional flexibility in design and layout to accommodate projects requiring a more individualized presentation.
Please review the examples linked on the Start Your FYC Page before deciding which option is appropriate for your project.
Can I request a custom design?
Yes, custom design services are available through the Custom FYC page option.
However, custom does not mean unlimited revisions or unlimited design consultation.
The Custom option allows for a more individualized presentation within the scope of the agreed-upon project.
Please provide clear direction and all necessary materials when submitting your order.
Can you help me decide which Grammy category to enter?
FYC Online does not determine Grammy eligibility or category placement.
Artists and their representatives are responsible for reviewing the current Recording Academy rules and determining the appropriate category for their submission.
We recommend consulting the official Recording Academy rulebook and guidelines directly.
Do you guarantee a Grammy nomination or award?
Absolutely not.
FYC Online provides digital presentation and promotional tools.
No website, advertising campaign, email campaign, or marketing service can guarantee a nomination, vote, award, or specific outcome.
Eligibility, voting, nominations, and awards are determined by the applicable awarding organization and its voting members.
Do you submit my music to the Grammys for me?
No.
FYC Online is not a submission portal for the Recording Academy.
You or your authorized representative must complete all official submission procedures required by the Recording Academy.
Our service is designed to help present your project professionally during the consideration and promotional process.
Is FYC Online affiliated with the Recording Academy?
FYC Online is an independent digital marketing and presentation service.
It is not the Recording Academy and should not be confused with the official Grammy submission system.
The Recording Academy’s rules, deadlines, eligibility requirements, and submission procedures are entirely separate from FYC Online.
What is the purpose of my FYC page?
Your FYC page provides a centralized destination for people reviewing your project.
Instead of sending multiple emails containing separate links to music, videos, biographies, lyrics, and credits, you can provide one professional URL containing all relevant information.
The page is designed to make it easier for interested voters and industry professionals to access your materials.
Will my FYC page be public?
Yes.
FYC pages are generally accessible through the internet using their unique URLs.
Please do not submit confidential, unreleased, proprietary, or personally sensitive materials unless you have confirmed that public availability is appropriate.
You are responsible for determining what information and materials may legally and appropriately be displayed publicly.
Who owns the content I submit?
You retain responsibility for the materials you provide.
By submitting materials, you confirm that you have the legal rights and permissions necessary to display those materials publicly.
This includes photographs, music, videos, lyrics, trademarks, logos, quotes, and other copyrighted materials.
FYC Online does not independently verify ownership rights.
Who is responsible for Grammy rules and eligibility compliance?
The artist, label, project representative, or submitting party is solely responsible for understanding and complying with the rules of the organization to which they are submitting.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Eligibility requirements
Submission deadlines
Category restrictions
Campaign rules
Promotional restrictions
Voting regulations
Copyright and licensing requirements
FYC Online is not responsible for disqualifications resulting from rule violations.
Can I make changes after my page is published?
Yes, limited revisions are available.
Each page includes one round of changes as specified in the service terms.
Additional changes may incur fees.
Small changes taking ten minutes or less are billed at the applicable flat rate in advance.
Larger changes requiring twenty minutes or more of coding, design, or mobile editing are billed hourly in twenty-minute increments.
Please submit revisions as one consolidated list whenever possible.
Why can’t I just make unlimited changes?
FYC pages are individually built and require design, coding, mobile formatting, testing, and publishing.
Unlimited revisions are not included in the standard product pricing.
The revision policy allows us to maintain reasonable production schedules and keep the product affordable for independent artists and labels.
Can you update my page throughout the entire awards season?
Ongoing updates are not automatically included in the standard FYC page product.
Additional updates may be requested and billed according to the applicable changes and editing policy.
Please consolidate requested changes whenever possible.
Can I get a refund if I change my mind?
Once your page has been built and your unique URL has been created, refunds are not available.
If you decide to delete your page after it has been completed, no refund will be issued.
Please make sure you are ready to proceed before submitting payment and materials.
Do I need a credit card to get started?
No credit card is required at the initial checkout stage.
However, payment arrangements and applicable charges are governed by the terms of the selected service.
Please review the pricing and checkout information carefully before submitting your order.
Can I pay by Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle?
Additional editing and revision payments may be accepted through the payment methods listed in the current Disclaimer and Changes Policy.
Please use the payment instructions provided on the website for the specific service or revision requested.
Do you offer targeted email campaigns to Grammy voters?
Yes, targeted email campaign services may be available separately from the standard FYC page.
FYC Online is partnered with a bespoke email list service that maintains a substantial industry contact list.
These campaigns are separate services and are not automatically included with the purchase of an FYC webpage.
Please inquire specifically about targeted email campaigns if this is something you require.
Do you provide social media promotion?
Certain promotional services may be available separately, including social media promotion and other digital marketing options.
These services are distinct from the standard FYC page creation product.
Please review the current pricing and service descriptions before requesting additional promotional work.
Can you promote my music to radio stations, journalists, or influencers?
FYC Online’s primary product is the digital FYC presentation page.
Public relations, media outreach, influencer relations, radio promotion, and ongoing publicity campaigns are not included unless separately agreed upon as paid services.
Artists seeking those services should make arrangements with appropriate publicists or marketing professionals.
Can we have a phone call to discuss my project?
Our standard FYC page process is designed to be completed without phone consultations.
Because FYC is a self-service digital product, we ask clients to review the website information, pricing, examples, and materials checklist before contacting us.
This allows us to focus our time on building and delivering completed pages efficiently.
Can you review my entire career and advise me on my Grammy strategy?
Strategic career consulting and individualized awards campaign planning are outside the scope of the standard FYC page product.
Our service is focused on creating and hosting your digital presentation.
If you require personalized consulting, that should be arranged as a separate professional engagement.
Can I schedule a Zoom meeting before deciding?
A meeting is not required to purchase an FYC page.
All essential information about the product, pricing, examples, and required materials is available online.
We encourage prospective clients to review those resources first.
What happens if I submit incomplete materials?
Incomplete submissions may delay production.
If required materials are missing, unclear, improperly formatted, or inaccessible, we may need to request additional information before beginning or completing your page.
To avoid delays, please use the checklist provided on the Start Your FYC Page form.
Can I submit materials after the page is already built?
Additional materials can generally be added only through the applicable revision process and may incur additional charges.
For best results, submit all materials at the beginning of the project.
Can I use my own wording and branding?
Yes.
Your FYC page should accurately represent your artistic identity and project.
You may provide approved biographies, branding elements, logos, photographs, quotes, credits, and other materials for inclusion, subject to the page format and technical requirements.
Can I include links to Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp, or other streaming platforms?
Additional listening links may be incorporated where appropriate within the structure of your selected FYC page.
Please provide direct, working URLs for any platforms you wish to include.
The primary music listening experience should be clearly identified in your submitted materials.
Can I include press reviews and testimonials?
Yes.
Press quotes, testimonials, and review headlines can be included within the available page layout.
Please provide accurate quotations and attribution.
You are responsible for ensuring that any quotes or copyrighted material submitted may legally be displayed.
Can I include my full album credits?
Yes.
Complete project credits are encouraged and are an important component of an effective FYC presentation.
Please provide credits in a clearly organized PDF or DOCX format.
Can I include lyrics?
Yes, where appropriate.
Lyrics should be submitted as a spellchecked and approved PDF or DOCX document.
Please do not send lyrics that are still being edited or reviewed.
Can I include behind-the-scenes photos?
Yes.
Behind-the-scenes photographs can help provide context and personality to your project.
The standard page allows up to seven images, including promotional and behind-the-scenes photographs.
Please submit high-quality images in JPG or PNG format.
How long does it take to build a page?
Production time depends on the completeness of the submitted materials, the selected page type, current production volume, and any required revisions.
Submitting complete, approved materials in one organized folder is the best way to avoid unnecessary delays.
What if I have a problem with my page after publication?
Please review the published page carefully and submit any necessary corrections according to the Changes/Edits Policy.
Please provide a consolidated list of specific corrections rather than sending multiple separate emails.
Technical issues and requested content changes should be clearly identified so they can be addressed efficiently.
Who should I contact if I still have a question?
Before contacting us, please review:
The FYC homepage
Pricing information
The Standard and Custom page examples
The Start Your FYC Page intake form
The Disclaimer and Changes/Refunds Policy
This FAQ page
If your question is not answered by those resources, please send a concise email describing the specific issue.
Because FYC Online is a self-service digital product, we ask that clients do not request preliminary meetings or phone consultations unless a separate consulting engagement has been arranged.
Important Information Before You Begin
FYC Online is designed to be self-service.
We understand that every artist has a unique story and project. However, the standard FYC service is designed to provide a streamlined digital product rather than ongoing individualized consulting.
To keep the service efficient and affordable for all clients:
Please review the website before contacting us.
Please submit all materials together.
Please provide final, approved content.
Please consolidate revision requests.
Please understand that consulting, campaign strategy, and management are not included in the standard page price.
Please use the online intake form rather than requesting a preliminary meeting.
Thank you for helping us keep the process efficient so we can continue providing professional FYC pages to independent artists, musicians, producers, composers, labels, and other creative professionals.
My Strongest Recommendation for the Actual Website
I would put this notice directly above the FAQ:
Before You Contact Us
FYC Online is a self-service digital product.
All information regarding pricing, page options, required materials, examples, editing policies, and refunds is available on this website.
We do not schedule preliminary consultations or provide ongoing one-on-one campaign strategy as part of the standard FYC page service.
Please review the website and FAQ before requesting a meeting or phone call.
This single paragraph may save you more time than anything else on the page.
Additional Strategic Observation
Your current site appears to have a slight positioning problem: the homepage describes FYC Online as including “Grammy nomination consulting,” “category guidance,” “ongoing support throughout awards season,” and several promotional services.
That language may unintentionally invite exactly the type of personal consultation requests you’re receiving.
If the actual business model is now strictly self-service digital production, I would strongly consider revising that language to distinguish between:
Included with FYC Page Purchase
Digital page creation
Hosting
Standard layout
Content presentation
QR code
One revision round
Available Separately / Not Included
Grammy strategy consulting
Category guidance
Campaign management
Personalized meetings
Public relations
Media outreach
Ongoing artist consultation
