Biography
Two-time Grammy®-nominated Zydeco innovator, Corey Ledet Zydeco & Black Magic is the forefront modern zydeco music, blending innovative stylings with deep respect for the genre’s rich Louisiana traditions.
A true powerhouse performer, Corey Ledet has captivated audiences around the world for decades. A seasoned world traveler, Corey has performed in 19 countries and toured extensively across North America, appearing at major festivals, private parties, corporate events, and weddings. His high-energy shows and magnetic stage presence ensure audiences are always entertained from start to finish.
With an impressive catalog of 16 albums, Corey earned his first GRAMMY nomination in 2012 for his album, “Nothing But The Best,” followed by a second nomination in 2021 for his self-titled album on Nouveau Electric Records. Both albums are available on all major digital streaming platforms.
About The Project
This album is my first live recording.
It happened in Anchorage, AK at the 2025 Anchorage Folk Festival.
It was recorded over the course of 3 days and included all original songs.
Recorded live in Alaska, this album captures Corey Ledet Zydeco & Black Magic at the heart of the moment—raw, soulful, energetic, and completely live. From the sound of the accordion to the power of the band, every track captures the excitement and emotion of an interactive performance. This album is a musical journey that brings the spirit of Louisiana Creole, zydeco, blues, and roots music from South Louisiana all the way to Alaska.
